Packages & FeaturesAt WebRemixers we classify websites according to the complexity and number of features they contain - the more required, the more time it will take. Features such as new image designs requiring specialised artwork or registration with particular external bodies will extend the completion time, although we will ensure you know about this in advance.The categories below represent the majority of the websites we have dealt with, although there will be those that do not fit neatly into one or the other but wish to address several types of target audiences thereby crossing-over between these types; we will be flexible to accomodate your wishes. You can see a sample of websites in each category by clicking on the category title - most are online and in active use. Websites displayed which are no longer in use have been loaded onto our server to demonstrate one or more particular features and/or are those we feel may be of particular interest. Please read our Terms and Conditions - they are fairly standard, although it is worth re-iterating that we must have all text and images before we start on the site, makes sense doesn't it? You'd be surprised how many times we have been asked to '...just write something in for now...', or '...can you get a suitable picture from the web for me...'. These apparently simple requests are surprisingly time-consuming especially since what we put in turns out to be not quite right and subsequently needs to be completely changed - we feel about as justified charging for our time for this wasted exercise as the client does in paying for it. (Although, be assured, most other companies will not hesitate to add this time to your bill). Some regard Flash in general as a greatly overused feature which gets in the way of the user's experience and requires the time-consuming task of downloading a Flash player only to see an animated page that does not reveal anything important - we disagree. It DOES enhance the user's experience, and for the first-time user, allows an overall 'feel' to be given to the person and organisation behind the website. Downloading the relevant Flash player can be made very simple and if the user does not wish to do so at this time or has seen the introduction, with one click this page can be skipped. Where a website can be seen as somewhat lacking in character or even plain due to the necessity of presenting and conveying information in as clear and precise a manner as possible, creative design can be stifled. This can therefore be confidently expressed in one page, the introduction, where the user's appetite can really be whetted and the ambience created for the experience to come. For these reasons many of our clients are requesting introductory Flash pages to 'liven up' their existing as well as new websites. Take a look at some of our clients' and see the difference.

Shopping on-line has come a long way from the first wave of internet boom-and-bust company start-ups in the 1980's. Security has been greatly improved, and there is a lot more stuff out there. People are now much less reticent about giving their credit card details over the internet - they know there are bargains to be had, and, credit-card guarantees now cover internet purchases. There are still things to keep an eye out for, but these are mostly common sense. We can tell you everything you need to know, (I have personally bought many items over the internet without a single problem). The ability for a customer to purchase a product and/or service over the internet is an opportunity that no business can afford to ignore. It opens up whole new markets - international markets - and all for the price of less than one month's rent in a shop that will only attract passing trade. Whether your market is general or highly specialised - in fact the more specialised the more essential it is - there WILL be people out there who want to hear what you have to say and buy what you have to sell. The largest sector of growth of new businesses over the last three years have been those starting up without a physical shopfront, their e-commerce website IS their virtual shopfront reaching many more potential customers than any traditional shop could ever do. If you run any type of community or information-based organisation then you NEED a public noticeboard. This is useful not only to tell potential new members about yourself and attract new 'recruits', but to inform everyone of forthcoming events and items of news; and there is no more efficient and cost-effective way of doing so.
